On the Ferry

At Fort Delaware

At Fort Delaware, the tram transportation departs the fort itself for the docks 10 to 15 minutes prior to boat departures. Due to weather conditions, crowds and other factors, the ferry schedule is subject to change. During your visit, please check with park staff for any changes.  Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in our picnic area - tables and grills are provided. Drink machines are available on the island, but there is no concession stand, so please bring your own food if you wish to enjoy a meal during your visit. Chips and other packaged snacks may be purchased at our gift shops.

At Fort Mott

A tram will be made available for people with disabilities. It will depart the fort for the dock 10-15 minutes prior to boat departures. Please request this service when making your reservations. The ferry schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors. During your visit, please check with park staff for any changes. 

Picnic tables, shelter and grills are available. No food or drinks are sold at the fort.
